Fudetabi was born

out of that sentiment.

Fudetabi is Japanese Byobu art, which is our original product. Its shape is like an accordion book. On the front side, beautiful paintings and words are written by Sachiko HANASHIRO, an Etegami postcard artist. On the other side, the English translation of the front side are printed and the information, such as the area data and Japanese culture, are also introduced in English.
 
We, the members of the Fudetabi Kobo(the atelier of Fudetabi), are active editors in Japan. While studying and conveying the culture from all across Japan through our daily work, we once again realized the profound nature of history and traditions. By forming a relationship with the picture letter artist Sachiko HANASHIRO, we were fascinated by the warm art and language expressed in her work. That is what led to the creation of Fudetabi.
Whether its appreciating the mood of a trip or experiencing culture, we believe that there are as many ways to enjoy Fudetabi as there are people who have picked it up. You could enjoy the decorative art by standing it up like a folding screen, or even thoroughly immerse yourself in the profound writing, so we hope you choose whatever method you like to enjoy the ambiance of Japan.
